Whipped Caramel Dip

Ingredients:

1 cup heavy cream
1/2 cup granulated sugar
2 tbsp unsalted butter
1/4 cup water
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
Instructions:

Make the Caramel:

In a medium saucepan, combine the sugar and water. Heat over medium heat, swirling the pan occasionally, until the sugar has dissolved and the mixture turns a deep amber color. Be careful not to stir, as this can cause crystallization.
Once the caramel reaches the desired color, carefully add the butter and stir until fully melted. Then, slowly pour in the heavy cream while continuously stirring. The mixture will bubble up, so be cautious. ️
Remove the saucepan from heat and stir in the vanilla extract and salt. Allow the caramel to cool to room temperature.
Whip the Caramel:

In a mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth and creamy.
Gradually add the cooled caramel to the cream cheese, whipping until the mixture is light, fluffy, and fully combined.
Serve:

Transfer the whipped caramel dip to a serving bowl. Serve with fresh fruit, cookies, or use it as a frosting for cakes and cupcakes!
