Homemade Peach Ice Cream

Ingredients:

2 pounds fresh peaches – peeled, pitted, and chopped
1 cup white sugar
1 pint half-and-half cream
1 (14 oz.) can sweetened condensed milk
1 (12 oz.) can evaporated milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 cups whole milk, or as needed

Directions:

Prepare the Peaches:

In a large bowl, combine the chopped peaches and sugar. Stir well to coat the peaches evenly.
Let the mixture sit for about 30 minutes to allow the peaches to release their juices.

Blend the Peaches:

Transfer the peach mixture to a blender or food processor. Blend until smooth.

Combine the Ingredients:

In a large mixing bowl, combine the peach puree, half-and-half cream, sweetened condensed milk, evaporated milk, and vanilla extract. Stir until well combined.
Add the whole milk and mix thoroughly. Adjust the amount of whole milk to achieve the desired consistency.

Chill the Mixture:

Cover the bowl and refrigerate the mixture for at least 2 hours, or until thoroughly chilled.

Churn the Ice Cream:

Pour the chilled mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer’s instructions, usually about 20-25 minutes, or until the mixture thickens and reaches a soft-serve consistency.

Freeze the Ice Cream:

Transfer the churned ice cream to an airtight container and freeze for at least 4 hours, or until firm.

Serve:

Scoop the ice cream into bowls or cones.
