Chicken in the air fryer with soy sauce and garlic

Chicken in the air fryer with soy sauce and garlic

This recipe smells great while it’s cooking. You get the outside caramelized and the inside super juicy. There are no hard steps, just really good flavor.

Ingredients

Two breasts of chicken

2 tablespoons of soy sauce

1 tablespoon of honey

1 tablespoon of olive oil

2 garlic cloves, chopped up

½ tsp of black pepper

½ teaspoon of paprika

1 tsp chili flakes (optional)

1 teaspoon of sesame seeds to sprinkle on top

A few chopped green onions (optional)

How to Make It

  1. Prepare the marinade
Mix soy sauce, honey, olive oil, garlic, black pepper, paprika, and chili flakes in a bowl. It should be a nice, shiny mix.
  2. Cover the chicken
Put in the chicken breasts and cover them well.
Let them sit for 20 to 30 minutes if you have the time. It really helps the flavor sink in.
  3. Get the air fryer hot
    Set it to 375°F (190°C).
  4. Fry in the air

Put the chicken in the basket (you can use a rack like the one in the picture).

Flip after cooking for 10 minutes.

Add a little more marinade on top.

Cook for another 8 to 10 minutes, or until the food is fully cooked and a little charred.

  1. Rest and cut
Let it sit for a few minutes before cutting it up. This keeps it juicy.

How I like to serve it

Cut it up and serve it with rice, noodles, or even a quick salad. By themselves, the juices make a great sauce.

Real tip:

Don’t skip the resting step; it makes a big difference. All the juices will run out if you cut it too soon.
