High-Protein Black Forest Mousse Bowls

Chocolate protein mousse base
250 g low-fat cottage cheese
150 g 0% Greek yogurt
1 scoop chocolate whey protein (or vanilla + extra cocoa)
1β2 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
1β2 tbsp honey / maple syrup / sweetener (to taste)
1 tsp vanilla extract
2β4 tbsp milk (as needed for blending)
Black Forest topping
1 cup cherries (fresh or frozen, thawed)
1β2 tsp honey or sweetener (optional)
1 tsp lemon juice (optional, boosts cherry flavor)
Optional toppings (for crunch & indulgence)
Dark chocolate shavings (85% or sugar-free)
Cacao nibs
Whipped Greek yogurt or light whipped cream
Chia seeds or crushed nuts

π Instructions
- Make the mousse base
Add cottage cheese, Greek yogurt, protein powder, cocoa powder, vanilla, and sweetener into a blender.
Blend for 1β2 minutes until completely smooth and fluffy.
Add a little milk if itβs too thick.
π You should get a thick, chocolate βcloudβ texture. - Prepare the cherries
Heat cherries in a small pan for 3β5 minutes (or microwave 1β2 min).
Lightly mash them so they become juicy and syrupy.
Add lemon juice or sweetener if needed. - Assemble the bowls
Spoon chocolate mousse into bowls or jars.
Add a layer of cherry compote on top or swirl it inside.
Add toppings like dark chocolate shavings or cacao nibs. - Chill (important)
Refrigerate for 30β60 minutes for best texture.
