🧾 Ingredients
3–4 medium cucumbers, thinly sliced
½ red onion, thinly sliced
½ cup white vinegar (or apple cider vinegar)
¼ cup water
2–3 tbsp sugar (adjust to taste)
1 tsp salt
½ tsp black pepper
1–2 tbsp fresh dill, chopped (or 1 tsp dried dill)
1 tbsp olive oil (optional)

  1. Prep the vegetables
    Slice cucumbers thinly (use a knife or mandoline).
    Slice the onion into thin strips.
  2. Make the marinade
    In a bowl, whisk together vinegar, water, sugar, salt, pepper, and dill.
    Add olive oil if you want a smoother, slightly richer dressing.
  3. Combine
    Add cucumbers and onions to the marinade.
    Toss well to coat.
  4. Chill
    Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour (best after 2–4 hours).
    Stir occasionally to help flavors soak in.
