Roasted Brussels Sprouts

Ingredients

500 g (1 lb) Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved

2 tablespoons olive oil

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon salt

½ teaspoon black pepper

½ teaspoon paprika (optional)

2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese (optional)

1 tablespoon balsamic glaze or fresh lemon juice (optional, for serving)

Instructions

1.Preheat your oven to 220°C (425°F).

2.Wash and trim the Brussels sprouts, removing any damaged outer leaves. Cut larger sprouts in half.

3.In a large bowl, toss the sprouts with olive oil, garlic, salt, pepper, and paprika until evenly coated.

4.Spread them in a single layer on a baking sheet, cut side down.

5.Roast for 20–25 minutes, stirring halfway through, until golden brown and crispy on the edges.

6.Sprinkle with Parmesan during the last 5 minutes of cooking if using.

7.Drizzle with balsamic glaze or a squeeze of fresh lemon juice before serving.
