Ground Beef & Cabbage Skillet

Ingredients

1 lb (450 g) ground beef

1 small head green cabbage, chopped

1 medium onion, diced

1 bell pepper (red or green), diced

3 cloves garlic, minced

2 tbsp olive oil

1 (14.5 oz / 400 g) can diced tomatoes, undrained

2 tbsp tomato paste

1 tsp smoked paprika

1 tsp Italian seasoning

½ tsp chili flakes (optional)

½ tsp garlic powderSalt and black pepper, to taste

½ cup beef broth (optional, for a saucier dish).

.Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

1Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

2Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spoon. Drain excess fat if needed.

3Stir in the onion and bell pepper. Cook for 4–5 minutes until softened.

4Add the garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.

5Mix in the tomato paste, diced tomatoes, smoked paprika, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, chili flakes, salt, and pepper.

6Add the chopped cabbage and beef broth (if using). Stir well.

7Cover and cook for 10–15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the cabbage is tender but still slightly crisp.

8Taste and adjust seasoning. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot.

Serve on its own for a low-carb meal.
