Savory Italian Crescent Bake
A warm, cheesy, and flavor-packed bake made with flaky crescent dough, Italian meats, and savory seasonings—perfect for dinner, brunch, or potlucks! Ingredients (Serves 6–8)
2 cans refrigerated crescent roll dough
250 g (8–9 oz) ground beef or Italian sausage
1/2 cup pepperoni slices (optional)
1 small onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup marinara or pizza sauce
1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 tsp Italian seasoning
1/2 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp paprika
1 tbsp olive oil
1 egg (for egg wash, optional) Instructions

Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F)
Lightly grease a baking dish - Cook the Filling
Heat olive oil in a pan
Cook onion and garlic until soft
Add ground beef or sausage and cook until browned
Drain excess fat
Stir in marinara sauce, Italian seasoning, paprika, and pepper
Simmer for 5 minutes, then let cool slightly - Layer the Base
Unroll 1 can of crescent dough
Press into the bottom of the baking dish, sealing seams - Add Filling
Spread meat mixture evenly over dough
Sprinkle mozzarella and Parmesan
Add pepperoni if using - Top Layer
Unroll second can of crescent dough
Place over the top and pinch edges to seal
Brush with beaten egg (optional for golden finish) - Bake
Bake for 25–30 minutes until golden brown - Cool & Serve
Let rest for 5–10 minutes
