LAYERED JELLO PROTEIN “SUSHI” ROLLS 🍣🍓✨
High-Protein • Low-Sugar • Gut-Friendly • Fun to Make
Okay… this might be one of the most FUN healthy snacks I’ve made all month.
If you love sweet treats but want something high-protein, low-calorie, and actually satisfying — these Layered Jello Protein Sushi Rolls are about to become your new obsession.
They look like dessert sushi.
They taste like strawberry cheesecake candy.
And they’re packed with protein.
Perfect for:
• Weight-loss friendly snacking
• Post-workout fuel
• Late-night sweet cravings
• Meal prep treat boxes
• Kids AND adults
Let’s make them 👇
INGREDIENTS
• 1 box sugar-free berry Jello
• ¾ cup boiling water
• ½ cup whipped cottage cheese OR thick Greek yogurt
• ½ scoop vanilla protein powder
Optional add-ins:
• Fresh sliced strawberries
• A sprinkle of crushed freeze-dried berries
• A drizzle of sugar-free white chocolate
• Shredded coconut
INSTRUCTIONS
STEP 1: Make the Jello sheet
In a bowl, dissolve the sugar-free berry Jello in ¾ cup boiling water. Stir until completely dissolved.
Pour into a flat tray or shallow rectangular container lined with parchment paper. You want a thin layer (like a fruit roll-up thickness).
Refrigerate until firm but still flexible — about 1–2 hours.
STEP 2: Make the protein filling
Blend or whisk together:
½ cup whipped cottage cheese (or Greek yogurt)
½ scoop vanilla protein powder
Mix until smooth and creamy. It should be spreadable but not runny.
STEP 3: Assemble
Carefully loosen the chilled Jello sheet from the tray.
Spread a thin, even layer of the protein mixture across the surface. Don’t overload it — thin works best for clean rolls.
STEP 4: Roll
Starting from one edge, roll tightly just like sushi. Go slow to keep it neat.
STEP 5: Slice
Use a sharp knife to cut into rounds. Wipe the knife between cuts for clean edges.
And that’s it.
You now have bright, glossy, strawberry protein “sushi” rolls that look impressive but take barely any effort.
WHY THESE ARE SO GOOD
• High protein = more fullness
• Low sugar = no energy crash
• Gelatin supports gut lining
• Creamy filling balances the sweet
• Visually fun (which makes healthy eating easier)
Macros will vary depending on your protein powder and yogurt choice, but each roll is typically low calorie and surprisingly filling.
STORAGE
Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. They’re perfect for prepping ahead.
Texture tip: If your Jello cracks while rolling, it was chilled too long. Let it sit at room temperature for 3–5 minutes to soften slightly.
FLAVOR IDEAS
• Strawberry cheesecake
• Raspberry vanilla
• Cherry almond
• Lime coconut
• Orange creamsicle
You can swap the berry Jello for any sugar-free flavor and customize the filling protein to match.
This is proof you don’t need complicated recipes to eat high-protein and still feel like you’re having dessert.
