Oven-Roasted Green Beans with Golden Garlic & Crispy Parmesan Crust
Crisp-tender green beans tossed with garlic, topped with a golden, cheesy crust — simple, elegant, and totally irresistible!
Ingredients
1 lb fresh green beans, trimmed
2 tablespoons olive oil
3 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
2 tablespoons panko breadcrumbs
1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (optional garnish)
Lemon wedges (for serving, optional)
Instructions
Preheat & Prep
Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).
Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
Season the Green Beans
In a large bowl, toss green beans with olive oil, minced garlic, salt, black pepper, and Italian seasoning.
Spread them out in a single layer on the baking sheet (don’t overcrowd for best crisping).
Add the Crispy Parmesan Topping
In a small bowl, mix Parmesan cheese and panko breadcrumbs.
Sprinkle evenly over the green beans.
Add red pepper flakes if using.
Roast
Roast for 15–20 minutes, until the beans are tender-crisp and the topping is golden brown.
For extra crispiness, broil for the last 1–2 minutes (watch carefully to prevent burning).
Garnish & Serve
Remove from oven and sprinkle with fresh parsley.
Serve with lemon wedges for a bright, fresh finish.
