½ teaspoon Paprika
Salt and Black pepper to taste
½ cup Breadcrumbs (optional topping)

Instructions

  1. Cook the Pasta
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the macaroni according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. Make the Cheese Sauce
In a saucepan over medium heat, melt butter. Stir in flour and cook for 1 minute to form a roux.
  3. Add Milk
Gradually whisk in the milk and cook until the sauce thickens, about 3–4 minutes.
  4. Add Cheese and Seasoning
Stir in cheddar cheese, mozzarella cheese, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix until smooth and creamy.
  5. Combine Pasta and Sauce
Add the cooked macaroni to the cheese sauce and mix until well coated.
  6. Prepare for Baking
Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F). Transfer the macaroni mixture to a greased baking dish.
  7. Add Topping
Sprinkle breadcrumbs and extra cheese on top if desired.
  8. Bake
Bake for 20–25 minutes until the top is golden and the cheese is bubbly.
  9. Serve
    Let cool slightly before serving.
    Tips for Best Results
Use freshly shredded cheese for the creamiest sauce.
Do not overcook the pasta before baking.
Add a splash of pasta water if the sauce becomes too thick.
