Ingredients:
1 bone-in ham, about 5-6 pounds
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup honey
2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
1 teaspoon ground cloves
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Optional: pineapple slices, maraschino cherries, for garnish
Price: Moderate
Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 325°F (160°C) and line a large roasting pan with aluminum foil.
Place the ham, cut side down, in the roasting pan.
In a small bowl, combine the brown sugar, honey, Dijon mustard, ground cloves, and ground cinnamon to make the glaze.
Brush the glaze all over the surface of the ham, making sure to coat it evenly.
If desired, arrange pineapple slices and maraschino cherries on top of the ham, securing them with toothpicks.
Cover the roasting pan tightly with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 1 hour.
After 1 hour, remove the foil and continue baking for an additional 1 hour, basting the ham with the pan juices every 20 minutes.
Once the ham is golden brown and caramelized on the outside, remove it from the oven and let it rest for 10-15 minutes before slicing.
Slice the ham and serve hot with your favorite side dishes and additional glaze on the side. Enjoy!
