Cheesy Tuna Melt Sandwich Description
A budget-friendly comfort sandwich made with creamy tuna salad and melted cheese, grilled until golden and crispy. Perfect for a quick lunch or dinner! Ingredients (Makes 2 sandwiches)
1 can tuna (drained)
2–4 slices cheese (cheddar or American works best)
4 slices bread
2 tbsp mayonnaise
1 tbsp butter (for grilling)
Optional Add-ins:
1–2 tbsp finely chopped onion
1 tbsp sweet corn
1 tbsp chopped pickles
Pinch of salt & black pepper Instructions
- Make the tuna mixture
In a bowl, mix:
Tuna
Mayonnaise
Optional onion, corn, or pickles
Salt & pepper
Mix until creamy but still slightly chunky. - Assemble the sandwich
Spread butter on the outside of each bread slice
On the inside:
Add cheese
Add a thick layer of tuna mixture
Top with another slice of cheese (optional but extra melty!)
Close with another slice of bread - Grill it
Heat a pan over medium heat
Cook sandwich for 3–4 minutes per side
Press gently until golden brown and crispy
