Cheesy Shredded Beef Croissant Sandwiches
Ingredients:
8–10 croissants
1 lb (450g) ground beef or shredded cooked beef
1 cup shredded mozzarella or provolone cheese
½ small onion, finely chopped
½ red bell pepper, diced
1 tbsp olive oil
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp salt (or to taste)
½ tsp black pepper
1 tsp paprika
½ tsp Italian seasoning (optional)
2 tbsp mayonnaise or butter (for spreading)
Instructions:
- Cook the filling
Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat.
Add onion and bell pepper, sauté for 3–4 minutes until softened.
Add garlic and cook 1 minute. - Add beef
If using ground beef: cook until browned, breaking it apart
If using shredded beef: just heat it through
Season with salt, pepper, paprika, and Italian seasoning.
Remove from heat. - Prepare croissants
Slice croissants in half horizontally (don’t cut all the way through if you want them hinged).
Lightly spread mayo or butter inside. - Assemble
Fill each croissant with the beef mixture.
Top generously with shredded cheese. - Bake
Place sandwiches on a baking tray.
Bake at 180°C (350°F) for 10–15 minutes, until cheese is melted and croissants are warm and slightly crispy. - Serve
Serve hot while the cheese is gooey and melty
