Chocolate Coconut Snowball Truffles (Mounds Copycat)
Ingredients
- 2½ cups sweetened shredded coconut
- ¾ cup sweetened condensed milk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 cups semi-sweet or dark chocolate chips
- 1 tbsp coconut oil or butter (for smooth chocolate)
- Extra shredded coconut for topping
Instructions
- Make the coconut filling
In a bowl, mix coconut, condensed milk, and vanilla until sticky.
- Form balls
Roll into 1–1½ inch balls.
Place on a parchment-lined tray.
- Chill
Refrigerate for 30 minutes (or freeze 15 minutes).
- Melt chocolate
Melt chocolate chips with coconut oil until smooth.
- Dip
Dip each ball in chocolate, letting excess drip off.
- Coat with coconut
Roll immediately in shredded coconut or sprinkle on top.
- Set
Chill until chocolate is firm.
🍬 Optional Variations
- Mounds version: Use dark chocolate only
- Almond Joy: Press an almond into the center
- Extra creamy: Add 2 tbsp cream cheese to the filling
- Holiday look: Add white chocolate drizzle
