Red & Green Velvet Christmas Trifle
🧾 Ingredients
Cake Layers
- 1 box red velvet cake mix, baked & cooled
- 1 box white or vanilla cake mix, baked & cooled
(Tint vanilla cake green with food coloring)
Cream Layer
- 2 (8 oz) blocks cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 cups heavy whipping cream, whipped
Toppings
- Red & green M&M’s or sprinkles
- Cake crumbs for garnish (optional)

- Prepare cakes
Bake cakes according to package directions. Cool completely and crumble.
- Make cream filling
Beat cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
Fold in whipped cream gently.
- Assemble trifle
In a trifle dish or glass bowl, layer:
- Green cake crumbs
- Cream mixture
- Red cake crumbs
- Cream mixture
Repeat layers until dish is full.
- Finish
Top with whipped cream, cake crumbs, and festive candies.
- Chill
Refrigerate 2–4 hours before serving for best texture.

- Use chocolate cake instead of red velvet
- Add a thin layer of white chocolate pudding
