🧾 Ingredients

Cake Layers

  • 1 box red velvet cake mix, baked & cooled
  • 1 box white or vanilla cake mix, baked & cooled
    (Tint vanilla cake green with food coloring)

Cream Layer

  • 2 (8 oz) blocks cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 cups heavy whipping cream, whipped

Toppings

  • Red & green M&M’s or sprinkles
  • Cake crumbs for garnish (optional)

👩‍🍳 Instructions

  1. Prepare cakes
    Bake cakes according to package directions. Cool completely and crumble.
  2. Make cream filling
    Beat cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
    Fold in whipped cream gently.
  3. Assemble trifle
    In a trifle dish or glass bowl, layer:
    • Green cake crumbs
    • Cream mixture
    • Red cake crumbs
    • Cream mixture
      Repeat layers until dish is full.
  4. Finish
    Top with whipped cream, cake crumbs, and festive candies.
  5. Chill
    Refrigerate 2–4 hours before serving for best texture.
