🧁 Ingredients

  • 1 package Hawaiian sweet rolls (or brioche/challah)
  • 3 eggs
  • ½ cup milk or heavy cream
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • Pinch salt

🔥 Caramel Sauce

  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • ¼ cup butter
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup or honey
  • ¼ cup water

Optional topping

  • Powdered sugar
  • Extra maple syrup

👩‍🍳 Instructions

1. Prep the bread

Cut rolls into bite-size cubes.


2. Make custard

Whisk together:

  • eggs
  • milk
  • vanilla
  • cinnamon
  • salt

Toss bread cubes gently until soaked.


3. Make caramel

In a skillet over medium heat, melt:

  • butter
  • brown sugar
  • maple syrup
  • water

Simmer 2–3 minutes until glossy.


4. Cook the bites

Add soaked bread cubes directly into caramel sauce.

Cook 8–10 minutes, gently turning, until:
