Creamy Milk Cake

A soft vanilla cake soaked in a rich 3-milk mixture and topped with whipped cream.


Ingredients

For the cake:

  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 4 eggs (room temperature)
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/3 cup oil (or melted butter)
  • 1 tsp vanilla

For the milk mixture (the cream soak):

  • 1 cup evaporated milk (or regular milk)
  • 1 cup sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 cup heavy cream

For the topping:

  • 1 cup whipping cream
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • Vanilla (optional)

Instructions

1. Make the cake

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. In a bowl: beat the eggs + sugar until pale and fluffy (about 3–4 min).
  3. Add oil and vanilla.
  4. Sift in the flour + baking powder.
  5. Add the milk and mix gently.
  6. Pour into a greased baking pan.
  7. Bake 25–30 minutes or until golden and a toothpick comes out clean.

2. Make the creamy milk soak

In a bowl, mix:

  • evaporated milk
  • condensed milk
  • heavy cream

Set aside.


3. Assemble

  1. When the cake is warm, poke holes all over using a fork.
  2. Pour the milk mixture slowly over the entire cake.
  3. Let it absorb everything (about 30–45 minutes).
  4. Refrigerate at least 2 hours (overnight = best).

4. Add the topping

Whip the cream + sugar until soft peaks form.
Spread over the chilled cake.
