Christmas M&M Cookie Bars Recipe
✅ Ingredients
- 1 cup (225 g) unsalted butter, melted and slightly cooled
- 1 cup (200 g) brown sugar
- ½ cup (100 g) white sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 ½ cups (315 g) all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- ½ tsp salt
- 1 cup red & green M&Ms
- ½ cup chocolate chips
- ½ cup white chocolate chips
👩🍳 Instructions
1. Prepare the pan
- Line a 9×13 inch baking dish with parchment paper.
- Lightly grease the edges if you want extra easy removal.
2. Mix wet ingredients
In a large bowl:
- Whisk melted butter and both sugars until smooth.
- Add the eggs and vanilla and mix until creamy.
3. Add dry ingredients
- Add flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Mix just until combined (don’t overmix).
4. Add the goodies
Fold in:
- Half of the M&Ms
- Half of the chocolate chips
- Half of the white chocolate chips
(Reserve the rest for topping.)
5. Spread and top
- Spread dough evenly into the prepared pan.
- Sprinkle remaining M&Ms, chocolate chips, and white chocolate chips on top.
6. Bake
- Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 25–30 minutes.
- Edges should be golden, center slightly soft (it will firm up as it cools).
7. Cool and slice
Let cool completely, then slice into bars.
