Chocolate Coconut Balls (Bounty-Style)
⭐ Ingredients
For the Coconut Filling
- 3 cups shredded sweetened coconut
- 1 cup sweetened condensed milk
- ½ cup powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
For the Chocolate Coating
- 2 cups chocolate chips (milk or dark)
- 1 tbsp coconut oil or butter (optional, for smooth dipping)
🥣 Instructions
1. Make the Coconut Mixture
- In a bowl, mix together:
- shredded coconut
- sweetened condensed milk
- powdered sugar
- vanilla
- salt
- Stir until a thick, sticky dough forms.
2. Shape the Balls
- Scoop about 1 tablespoon of mixture.
- Roll into balls or shape into small bars (like the photo).
- Place on a parchment-lined tray.
- Freeze for 20–25 minutes — this helps them stay firm when dipping.
3. Coat With Chocolate
- Melt chocolate (and coconut oil if using) in the microwave in 20–30 second intervals, stirring until smooth.
- Dip each frozen coconut ball into the chocolate.
- Place on parchment to set.
- Optional: drizzle extra chocolate on top for the same pretty look as the picture.
4. Chill & Serve
- Refrigerate 10–15 minutes until chocolate is set.
- Store in fridge up to 1 week, or freeze up to 2 months.
