Reuben Bake

 

Hearty Reuben Bake Casserole made with layers of rye bread, corned beef, sauerkraut, Swiss cheese, and Thousand Island dressing.

Ingredients:

– 8 slices of rye bread, cubed

– 1 pound thinly sliced or shredded corned beef

1 can (14 ounces) sauerkraut, drained and rinsed

– 2 cups grated Swiss cheese

– 1 cup Thousand Island dressing

 

Directions:

1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a baking dish.

2. Prepare Ingredients: Cube the rye bread, shred or thinly slice the corned beef, and drain and rinse the sauerkraut.

3. Layer Ingredients: Start with half of the rye bread, followed by half of the corned beef, sauerkraut, and Swiss cheese. Drizzle half of the dressing on top. Repeat the layers.

4. Add Dressing: Drizzle the remaining dressing over the top layer of cheese.

5. Bake: Cover with foil and bake for 25-30 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.

6. Serve: Let it cool slightly before cutting into squares and serving hot.
